The SmartSource SmartSampling integrated marketing program offers a complete marketing campaign that uses frequent-shopper card data to identify consumers who try your product and then targets them at-home with follow-up direct mail advertising and incentives.
How It Works
Step 1: Installation
Manufacturers have the option to deliver their samples via at-shelf sampling boxes or
free-standing floor displays. News America Marketing produces and installs either at-shelf sampling boxes or display boxes that are filled with samples carrying UPC codes.
Step 2: Identification
Shoppers take a sample and are encouraged to scan the sample at checkout with their retailer loyalty cards.
Step 3: Mining & Mailing
News America Marketing mines the participating retailer’s loyalty database to target trier households for promotional mailings.
Step 4: Bounce-back
Shoppers return to the participating retailer to redeem the direct-mail incentive.
