National Sales Manager Position Created at
News America Marketing

West R. Naze Promoted Into New Role

New York, NY (August, 21 2006) – News America Marketing, a division of News Corporation (NYSE: NWSA), today announced that West R. Naze has been promoted to the newly created position of Executive Vice President, National Sales Manager.  Previously, he had held the title of Executive Vice President, Sales, responsible for clients based in the central United Sates. He has been with the company for nearly 20 years.

On the creation of the new position, News America Marketing’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Paul Carlucci, said, “The need for a National Sales Manager underscores the company’s continued growth, commensurate with our commitment to providing the best targeted programs and services to our clients.  West’s tenure with the company, his ability to drive sales, his understanding of the industry and most importantly, the needs of the News America Marketing client, have positioned him to excel in his new role. He is responsible for many of our company’s successes in the Central Division and we’re looking forward to his expanding sphere of influence benefiting our organization as a whole.”

Operating without regional boundaries and sympathies, the National Sales Manager role will allow News America Marketing to better capitalize on new sales opportunities as well as maintain and develop relationships with existing business partners including General Mills, Con Agra and Kimberly Clark.

“I see this as an amazing opportunity to bring this company where it’s already destined to go, only faster,” said Mr. Naze. “News America Marketing has an incredible track record of success and I feel very lucky to have been there to witness, and help facilitate some of our biggest wins. My job now is to ensure that those successes continue to happen for us in the future.”

In his role as EVP, Sales, of the Central Division, West was responsible for signing some of the biggest agreements in the company’s history. Mr. Naze credits his parents for his success. “They taught me the value of working hard and staying focused by example. And my parents gave up a lot for me when I was growing up and I’ve always been driven to show them that their sacrifice was worth it.”

Mr. Naze will oversee the company’s U.S.-based core sales force of 300 in eleven offices across the country, from News America Marketing’s headquarters in New York, as well as the Central Division headquarters in Chicago. News America Marketing’s Canadian region and specialty businesses will continue to report to President Chris Mixson.

Mr. Naze joined News America Marketing in 1988 after graduating from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin with a degree in Business Administration. He started as an account executive and held a variety of sales and managerial positions in the Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Minneapolis and New York offices before becoming EVP, Sales in July of 2004. He will reside in New York and Chicago and has a son, Nicholas.
