News America Marketing Creates New "Retail Advertising and Promotion" Division
Appoints Key Executives to New Sales Division
New York, NY (October 23, 2009) -- News America Marketing, a division of News Corporation (NYSE: NWS), announced today a series of appointments and promotions to support their new Retail Advertising & Promotion Division.
As a result of News America Marketing’s expansion in its network of stores over the years, the company's portfolio now includes mass merchandising and office supply stores. With this new growth, comes a previously untapped category of clients and an enormous opportunity for new business. The new division will sell the company’s vast in-store portfolio to manufacturers that retail their products in these new store categories, thereby enabling consumers to save in more places than ever before.
The Retail Advertising & Promotion division will be led by EVP John Kelly with Dani Dvorin VP, Group Sales Manager, and Christian Lencsak, VP, Group Sales Manager leading supporting teams.

As EVP, Retail Advertising & Promotion, John Kelly will oversee a national sales force that will focus its efforts on non-traditional clients in News America Marketing’s newer classes of trade. Kelly joined News America Marketing in 1999 and previously ran the company’s Custom Media business, which he propelled to exponential growth over ten years. Prior to joining News America, he was Senior Sales Executive for Quebecor Printing (USA) Corporation and held executive positions at Macy’s, Rolling Stone Magazine and Caldor.
Kelly stated, “With media only becoming more fragmented, in-store marketing is the future of advertising. News America Marketing is a pioneer in this field with the best in-store products available. I am proud to be part of this new team and look forward to bringing our ideas and vision to manufacturers and consumers."
Reporting to Kelly will be the team leaders of Dani Dvorin VP, Group Sales Manager, and Christian Lencsak, VP, Group Sales Manager. Both have strong track records of success in their previous roles, and will be managing groups that will cover a national territory.
Previously a Group Sales Manager in NAM’s Core Sales Division, Dani Dvorin is known for his successes selling non-traditional businesses into the company’s network of grocery stores. Most recently, he was responsible for personally managing some of News America’s largest East Coast businesses, as well as an account team of five. Dvorin joined News America Marketing in July of 2000 as an Account Coordinator in New York.
Christian Lencsak most recently served as a VP, Group Sales Manager in NAM’s Custom Media Division and is responsible for signing the first client into the new Retail Advertising and Promotion program. Lencsak began his career at NAM in 2002 with what was then called the Custom Publishing Division in NYC, working for Kelly. In 2005, Christian tripled his region’s revenue in just two years, and was promoted to Group Sales Manager in early 2007.
