New Regional Sales Manager Position Created News America Marketing

 

Darin Lee Promoted Into New Role

 

New York, NY (August 21, 2006) – News America Marketing, a division of News Corporation (NYSE: NWSA), today announced the promotion of Darin Lee to a new position, Senior Vice President, Regional Manager, Western Division. Previously, he had been Vice President, General Sales Manager, responsible for the Dallas office.  As part of his new role, Mr. Lee will oversee sales efforts for a region that covers much of the American Southwest, including the Dallas office’s territory and Southern California. He will operate from the Western Division’s headquarters in Los Angeles. “I’m looking forward to tackling bigger challenges and helping the Western Division grow and develop as a team,” said Mr. Lee.

 

News America Marketing’s President, Chris Mixson stated, “This is a well-deserved promotion and we are looking forward to Darin translating his many successes in the Dallas area into a broader sales arena.”

 

This will be something of a homecoming for Mr. Lee, who joined News America Marketing in October of 1997 as an Account Coordinator in the Los Angeles office.  He was promoted to Account Associate in April of 1999 and Account Director in September of that same year. During his two-year span as an Account Director, he secured over $3 million dollars in new business while managing established accounts like Dial Corporation and Kinko's Copy Centers. During his four years in Dallas, Mr. Lee managed an office of ten people with accounts including Frito Lay, Tyson Foods, Chuck E. Cheese Entertainment and the Minute Maid Company. He is a University of Oregon graduate with a degree in Journalism.

 

Mr. Lee, his wife Crista and his children Kaitlin, 6 and Dylan, 4 are looking forward to making their new home in the Los Angeles suburbs.
